@wjdennen Some plugins play so well with others that the whole is greater than the sum… However, some need discipline or banishment.

@wjdennen The list is now out of date. Many plugins didn’t make transition to 3.01 multisite. I’d like to see lists for each school.

@CarrieHPhillips Glad you are finding it useful. I’m going to make some organizational improvements today.

@randyhoyt The document is open for unrestricted editing, so please feel free to add your site(s)!

@sleary The WP Higher Ed plugins document was made read-only, so, I’ve created a new version here and updated links: http://bit.ly/a4oAOc

“Hyperlocal journalism” implies professional journalists. Civic media is about encouraging/training everyone to become citizen reporters.

@newmediajim Was: stringer >reporter >editor >designer >printer >driver >home. Now: tweet >post >article >analysis (more needed) >screen.

via web

@newmediajim Yes, we are better off now with more pathways/access. Now the middle structure (curation) is being built to make meaning of it.

via web in reply to newmediajim

@newmediajim Sure. Authoring, editing, and curation can be functions of one, two, or many different people.

via Nambu in reply to newmediajim

@newmediajim My perspective: collectors point to (select and collect) valuable assets whereas editors alter and modify those assets.

via Nambu in reply to newmediajim

@newmediajim @jeremymeyers That’s exactly why we need curators: to sift through the increasing amounts of amateur media.
